महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-77, verse-24

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
एवमुक्तस्तु राजा स तथ्यमित्येव जज्ञिवान् ।
पूजयामास शर्मिष्ठां धर्मं च प्रत्यपादयत् ॥२४॥
24. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
evamuktastu rājā sa tathyamityeva jajñivān ,
pūjayāmāsa śarmiṣṭhāṁ dharmaṁ ca pratyapādayat.
24. vaiśampāyanaḥ uvāca evam uktaḥ tu rājā saḥ tathyam iti eva
jajñivān pūjayām āsa śarmiṣṭhām dharmam ca pratyapādayat
24. Vaiśampāyana said: When thus addressed, that king understood it to be true. He honored Sharmishtha and practiced his dharma.
