महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-72, verse-18

आर्षं धर्मं ब्रुवाणोऽहं देवयानि यथा त्वया ।
शप्तो नार्होऽस्मि शापस्य कामतोऽद्य न धर्मतः ॥१८॥
18. ārṣaṁ dharmaṁ bruvāṇo'haṁ devayāni yathā tvayā ,
śapto nārho'smi śāpasya kāmato'dya na dharmataḥ.
18. ārṣam dharmam bruvāṇaḥ aham devayāni yathā tvayā
śaptaḥ na arhaḥ asmi śāpasya kāmataḥ adya na dharmataḥ
18. O Devayani, I, who declare the ancient dharma, am not deserving of this curse by you, which you have uttered out of desire, not in accordance with dharma.
