महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-5, verse-26

तस्य तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा सप्तार्चिर्दुःखितो भृशम् ।
भीतोऽनृताच्च शापाच्च भृगोरित्यब्रवीच्छनैः ॥२६॥
26. tasya tadvacanaṁ śrutvā saptārcirduḥkhito bhṛśam ,
bhīto'nṛtācca śāpācca bhṛgorityabravīcchanaiḥ.
26. tasya tat vacanam śrutvā saptārciḥ duḥkhitaḥ bhṛśam
bhītaḥ anṛtāt ca śāpāt ca bhṛgoḥ iti abravīt śanaiḥ
26. Having heard those words from him, Saptārciḥ (Agni) became greatly distressed. Fearing both falsehood and Bhṛgu's curse, he slowly spoke thus.
