महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-28, verse-25

ज्वलन्तमग्निं तममित्रतापनः समास्तरत्पत्ररथो नदीभिः ।
ततः प्रचक्रे वपुरन्यदल्पं प्रवेष्टुकामोऽग्निमभिप्रशाम्य ॥२५॥
25. jvalantamagniṁ tamamitratāpanaḥ; samāstaratpatraratho nadībhiḥ ,
tataḥ pracakre vapuranyadalpaṁ; praveṣṭukāmo'gnimabhipraśāmya.
25. jvalantam agnim tam amitratāpanaḥ
samāstarat patrarathaḥ nadībhiḥ
tataḥ pracakre vapuḥ anyat alpam
praveṣṭukāmaḥ agnim abhipraśāmya
25. Then, the bird Garuḍa, the tormentor of foes, covered that blazing fire with rivers. Afterwards, having calmed the fire, and desiring to enter it, he assumed another, smaller body.
