शतं सहस्रं विश्वं च सर्वमक्षयवाचकम् ।
परिमाणं शतं त्वेतन्नैतदक्षयवाचकम् ॥८॥

The brahmin said: "The words 'hundred', 'thousand', and 'universe' all refer to the imperishable. However, this count of 'a hundred' itself does not denote the imperishable."
