महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-202, verse-20

प्रभिन्नकरटौ मत्तौ भूत्वा कुञ्जररूपिणौ ।
संलीनानपि दुर्गेषु निन्यतुर्यमसादनम् ॥२०॥

saṁlīnānapi durgeṣu ninyaturyamasādanam.

20. Having assumed the forms of enraged elephants, with their temples burst open (in rut), they led even those hidden in difficult places to the abode of Yama (the god of death).
