महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-202, verse-14

आश्रमेष्वग्निहोत्राणि ऋषीणां भावितात्मनाम् ।
गृहीत्वा प्रक्षिपन्त्यप्सु विश्रब्धाः सैनिकास्तयोः ॥१४॥
14. āśrameṣvagnihotrāṇi ṛṣīṇāṁ bhāvitātmanām ,
gṛhītvā prakṣipantyapsu viśrabdhāḥ sainikāstayoḥ.

14. The fearless soldiers of those two [demons], seizing the sacrificial fires (agnihotra) of the sages (ṛṣīṇām) whose inner selves (ātman) were disciplined, threw them into the waters in the hermitages.
