महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-121, verse-18

राम उवाच ।
हिरण्यं मम यच्चान्यद्वसु किंचन विद्यते ।
ब्राह्मणेभ्यो मया दत्तं सर्वमेव तपोधन ॥१८॥
18. rāma uvāca ,
hiraṇyaṁ mama yaccānyadvasu kiṁcana vidyate ,
brāhmaṇebhyo mayā dattaṁ sarvameva tapodhana.
18. rāmaḥ uvāca hiraṇyaṃ mama yat ca anyat vasu kiñcana
vidyate brāhmaṇebhyaḥ mayā dattam sarvam eva tapodhana
18. Rama said: "Whatever gold and any other wealth that belongs to me, all of it has been given by me to the brahmins, O ascetic (tapodhana)."
