जाज्वल्यमानं तेजोभी रविबिम्बमिवाम्बरात् ॥८॥

And then, the great demon hurled that (spear) at Bhadrakālī, shining intensely with its brilliance, like the sun's orb (ravi-bimba) falling from the sky.
