योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-90, verse-25

चतुर्दशप्रकाराणां भूतानामङ्गसन्धिषु ।
उषितं चेतनेनेव जडेनाप्यजडात्मना ॥ २५ ॥
caturdaśaprakārāṇāṃ bhūtānāmaṅgasandhiṣu ,
uṣitaṃ cetaneneva jaḍenāpyajaḍātmanā 25
25. caturdaśaprakārāṇām bhūtānām aṅgasandhiṣu
uṣitam cetanena iva jaḍena api ajaḍātmanā
25. ajaḍātmanā caturdaśaprakārāṇām bhūtānām aṅgasandhiṣu cetanena iva jaḍena api uṣitam.
25. The non-inert self (ātman) has dwelt in the joints of the limbs of the fourteen types of beings, appearing as if conscious, and even as if inert.
