योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-83, verse-25

ब्रह्म सर्वेन्द्रियातीतं श्रुतादीन्द्रियसंविदः ।
तेनोपदेशादनघ नात्मतत्त्वमवाप्यते ॥ २५ ॥
brahma sarvendriyātītaṃ śrutādīndriyasaṃvidaḥ ,

tena upadeśāt anagha na ātmatattvam avāpyate

25. Brahman (brahman) is beyond all senses. Therefore, O pure one, the reality of the self (ātman) is not attained through instruction based on sensory perceptions, even those beginning with hearing.
