योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-4, chapter-41, verse-28

व्यवहारार्थमुत्पन्ना व्यतिरिक्ता च नात्मनः ।
अनेन व्यवहारेण विनैताः शास्त्रदृष्टयः ॥ २८ ॥

28. It (ignorance or mental conception) has arisen for the purpose of practical transaction (vyavahāra) and is not distinct from the self (ātman). Without this practical activity (vyavahāra), these scriptural doctrines (śāstradṛṣṭi) [do not endure].
