योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-105, verse-15

अनभ्यस्तविवेकं हि देशकालवशानुगम् ।
मन्त्रौषधिवशं याति मनो नोदारवृत्तिमत् ॥ १५ ॥
anabhyastavivekaṃ hi deśakālavaśānugam ,
mantrauṣadhivaśaṃ yāti mano nodāravṛttimat 15
15. anabhyastavivekam hi deśakālavaśānugam
mantrauṣadhivaśam yāti manaḥ na udāravṛttimat
15. hi anabhyastavivekam deśakālavaśānugam
udāravṛttimat na manaḥ mantrauṣadhivaśam yāti
15. Indeed, a mind (manas) that is not accustomed to discrimination (viveka), that follows the dictates of place and time, and is not endowed with a noble disposition, falls under the sway of charms and medicines.
