स तु तेन प्रहारेण चचाल च महाकपिः ।
परिघेण समाधूतो यथा भूमिचले ऽचलः ॥१४॥

14. However, the great monkey (Hanumān) trembled from that blow, having been thoroughly shaken by the (impact of the) mace, just as an immovable mountain might (tremble) during an earthquake.
