वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-21, verse-23

सुमुखो दुर्मुखश्चात्र वेगदर्शी च वानरः ।
मृत्युर्वानररूपेण नूनं सृष्टः स्वयम्भुवा ॥२३॥
23. sumukho durmukhaścātra vegadarśī ca vānaraḥ ,
mṛtyurvānararūpeṇa nūnaṃ sṛṣṭaḥ svayambhuvā.

nūnam mṛtyuḥ vānararūpeṇa svayambhuvā sṛṣṭaḥ.
23. Present here were Sumukha, Durmukha, and Vegadarśī, the Vānaras. Indeed, Death itself was surely created by the self-existent one (brahman) in the form of a Vānara.
