वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-12, verse-3

मित्रभावेन संप्राप्तं न त्यजेयं कथं चन ।
दोषो यद्यपि तस्य स्यात् सतामेतदगर्हितम् ॥३॥
3. mitrabhāvena saṃprāptaṃ na tyajeyaṃ kathaṃ cana ,
doṣo yadyapi tasya syāt satāmetadagarhitam.
3. mitrabhāvena samprāptam na tyajeyam katham cana
doṣaḥ yadi api tasya syāt satām etat agarhitam
3. One who has approached with a friendly disposition, I should not abandon him under any circumstances. Even if a fault were to exist in him, this is not condemned by the virtuous.
