वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-48, verse-18

यत् कृत्वा न भवेद्धर्मो न कीर्तिर्न यशो भुवि ।
शरीरस्य भवेत् खेदः कस्तत् कर्म समाचरेत् ॥१८॥
18. yat kṛtvā na bhaveddharmo na kīrtirna yaśo bhuvi ,
śarīrasya bhavet khedaḥ kastat karma samācaret.
