वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-8, verse-8

स वने नित्यसंवृद्धो मुनिर्वनचरः सदा ।
नान्यं जानाति विप्रेन्द्रो नित्यं पित्रनुवर्तनात् ॥८॥
8. sa vane nityasaṃvṛddho munirvanacaraḥ sadā ,
nānyaṃ jānāti viprendro nityaṃ pitranuvartanāt.
8. saḥ vane nityasaṃvṛddhaḥ muniḥ vanacaraḥ sadā | na
anyam jānāti viprendraḥ nityam pitṛ anuvartanāt
8. saḥ nityasaṃvṛddhaḥ muniḥ sadā vane vanacaraḥ (asti)
viprendraḥ nityam pitṛ anuvartanāt anyam na jānāti
8. He, always grown up in the forest, is ever a forest-dwelling sage. This chief of Brahmins (viprendra) knows no one else, constantly due to his obedience (anuvartana) to his father.
