वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-57, verse-15

अथ तद्वाक्यमाकर्ण्य राजा चण्डालतां गतः ।
अब्रवीत् प्राञ्जलिर्वाक्यं वाक्यज्ञो वाक्यकोविदम् ॥१५॥
15. atha tadvākyamākarṇya rājā caṇḍālatāṃ gataḥ ,
abravīt prāñjalirvākyaṃ vākyajño vākyakovidam.

15. Then, having heard those words, the king, who had fallen into the state of a caṇḍāla and was himself eloquent, spoke with folded hands to the sage, who was skilled in discourse.
