वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-55, verse-4

क्व च ते क्षत्रियबलं क्व च ब्रह्मबलं महत् ।
पश्य ब्रह्मबलं दिव्यं मम क्षत्रियपांसन ॥४॥
4. kva ca te kṣatriyabalaṃ kva ca brahmabalaṃ mahat ,
paśya brahmabalaṃ divyaṃ mama kṣatriyapāṃsana.
4. kva ca te kṣatriya-balam kva ca brahma-balam mahat
paśya brahma-balam divyam mama kṣatriya-pāṃsana
4. te kṣatriya-balam kva ca,
ca mahat brahma-balam kva? kṣatriya-pāṃsana,
mama divyam brahma-balam paśya.
4. And where is that warrior (kṣatriya) strength of yours, and where is my great spiritual power (brahmabala)? Behold my divine spiritual power (brahmabala), O disgrace among warriors!
