वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-55, verse-22

एवमुक्तो महातेजाः शमं चक्रे महातपाः ।
विश्वामित्रो ऽपि निकृतो विनिःश्वस्येदमब्रवीत् ॥२२॥
22. evamukto mahātejāḥ śamaṃ cakre mahātapāḥ ,
viśvāmitro'pi nikṛto viniḥśvasyedamabravīt.

viśvāmitraḥ api nikṛtaḥ viniḥśvasya idam abravīt

22. Thus addressed, the glorious (Vasiṣṭha), the great ascetic (mahātapas), brought about peace. Vishvamitra, for his part, humbled and defeated, sighed deeply and said this.
