वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-45, verse-9

तपस्तस्यां हि कुर्वत्यां परिचर्यां चकार ह ।
सहस्राक्षो नरश्रेष्ठ परया गुणसंपदा ॥९॥
9. tapastasyāṃ hi kurvatyāṃ paricaryāṃ cakāra ha ,
sahasrākṣo naraśreṣṭha parayā guṇasaṃpadā.
