गङ्गायाः पतनं राजन्पृथिवी न सहिष्यते ।
तां वै धारयितुं वीर नान्यं पश्यामि शूलिनः ॥२३॥

23. gaṅgāyāḥ patanaṃ rājanpṛthivī na sahiṣyate ,
tāṃ vai dhārayituṃ vīra nānyaṃ paśyāmi śūlinaḥ.

23. O king, the earth will not withstand the fall of Gaṅgā. O hero, to bear her, I see indeed no one else but Śiva, the wielder of the trident.
