वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-40, verse-9

दिशागजस्तु तच्छ्रुत्वा प्रीत्याहांशुमतो वचः ।
आसमञ्जकृतार्थस्त्वं सहाश्वः शीघ्रमेष्यसि ॥९॥
9. diśāgajastu tacchrutvā prītyāhāṃśumato vacaḥ ,
āsamañjakṛtārthastvaṃ sahāśvaḥ śīghrameṣyasi.
9. diśāgajaḥ tu tat śrutvā prītyā āha aṃśumataḥ vacaḥ
āsamāñja-kṛtārthaḥ tvam saha-aśvaḥ śīghram eṣyasi
9. diśāgajaḥ tu tat śrutvā prītyā aṃśumataḥ vacaḥ āha:
"āsamāñja-kṛtārthaḥ tvam saha-aśvaḥ śīghram eṣyasi"
9. But the directional elephant, having heard that, joyfully spoke these words to Anśuman: "O you whose purpose is accomplished (in connection with Asamañjas), you will quickly return with the horse!"
