वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-38, verse-12

गतिं पुत्रा न पश्यामि रक्षसां पुरुषर्षभाः ।
मन्त्रपूतैर्महाभागैरास्थितो हि महाक्रतुः ॥१२॥
12. gatiṃ putrā na paśyāmi rakṣasāṃ puruṣarṣabhāḥ ,
mantrapūtairmahābhāgairāsthito hi mahākratuḥ.
12. gatim putrāḥ na paśyāmi rakṣasām puruṣa-ṛṣabhāḥ |
mantra-pūtaiḥ mahā-bhāgaiḥ āsthitaḥ hi mahā-kratuḥ
12. putrāḥ puruṣa-ṛṣabhāḥ na paśyāmi rakṣasām gatim hi
mahā-kratuḥ mantra-pūtaiḥ mahā-bhāgaiḥ āsthitaḥ
12. O sons, O best among men, I do not perceive the path of the Rākṣasas, for a great ritual (kratu) is indeed being performed by highly fortunate ones, purified by sacred incantations (mantra).
