वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-30, verse-12

तद्धि यज्ञफलं तेन मैथिलेनोत्तमं धनुः ।
याचितं नरशार्दूल सुनाभं सर्वदैवतैः ॥१२॥
12. taddhi yajñaphalaṃ tena maithilenottamaṃ dhanuḥ ,
yācitaṃ naraśārdūla sunābhaṃ sarvadaivataiḥ.
12. tat hi yajñaphalam tena maithilena uttamam dhanuḥ
yācitam naraśārdūla sunābham sarvadaivataiḥ
12. naraśārdūla tat hi uttamam sunābham dhanuḥ
yajñaphalam tena maithilena sarvadaivataiḥ yācitam
12. O best of men, that excellent bow, which had a beautiful hub, was indeed the fruit of a Vedic ritual (yajña). It was requested by Janaka and by all the gods.
