मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-127, verse-22

मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
नागानां तद्वचः श्रुत्वा भूतानां शरणैषिणाम् ।
तया चाभ्यर्थितः पत्न्या प्राहावीक्षिन्महायशाः ॥२२॥
22. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
nāgānāṃ tadvacaḥ śrutvā bhūtānāṃ śaraṇaiṣiṇām .
tayā cābhyarthitaḥ patnyā prāhāvīkṣinmahāyaśāḥ.
22. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca nāgānām tat vacaḥ śrutvā bhūtānām śaraṇa-aiṣiṇām
tayā ca abhyarthitaḥ patnyā prāha avīkṣin mahā-yaśāḥ
22. Mārkaṇḍeya said: "Having heard those words of the Nāgas, who were seeking refuge, and entreated by his wife, the greatly renowned Avīkṣin spoke."
