मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-11, verse-27

नारकांश्चैव संप्रेक्ष्य महद्दुः खमवाप्यते ।
एतां गतिमहं गन्तेत्यहर्निशमनिर्वृतः ॥२७॥
27. nārakāṃścaiva saṃprekṣya mahadduḥ khamavāpyate .
etāṃ gatimahaṃ gantetyaharniśamanirvṛtaḥ.
27. nārakān ca eva samprekṣya mahat duḥkham avāpyate
etām gatim aham gantā iti aharniśam anirvṛtaḥ
27. And indeed, by observing those in hell, one experiences great suffering, constantly discontent day and night with the thought, "I will attain this fate."
