महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-48, verse-17

यत्रेष्ट्वा भगवाञ्ज्योतिर्भास्करो राजसत्तम ।
ज्योतिषामाधिपत्यं च प्रभावं चाभ्यपद्यत ॥१७॥
17. yatreṣṭvā bhagavāñjyotirbhāskaro rājasattama ,
jyotiṣāmādhipatyaṁ ca prabhāvaṁ cābhyapadyata.

17. O best of kings (rājasattama), it was there that the venerable sun god (Bhāskara), a great luminary, by performing a sacrifice (iṣṭvā), attained dominion (ādhipatyam) over the other luminaries and also great power.
