महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-46, verse-22

स कोसलानां भर्तारं राजपुत्रं बृहद्बलम् ।
हृदि विव्याध बाणेन स भिन्नहृदयोऽपतत् ॥२२॥
22. sa kosalānāṁ bhartāraṁ rājaputraṁ bṛhadbalam ,
hṛdi vivyādha bāṇena sa bhinnahṛdayo'patat.

hṛdi vivyādha bāṇena sa bhinnahṛdayaḥ apatat
22. sa bāṇena kosalānām bhartāram rājaputram
bṛhadbalam hṛdi vivyādha sa bhinnahṛdayaḥ apatat
22. He pierced Brihadbala, the prince and ruler of the Kosalas, in the heart with an arrow. With his heart thus shattered, he fell down.
