महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-3, verse-22

अमानुषश्च संग्रामस्त्र्यम्बकेन च धीमतः ।
तस्माच्चैव वरः प्राप्तो दुष्प्रापश्चाकृतात्मभिः ॥२२॥
22. amānuṣaśca saṁgrāmastryambakena ca dhīmataḥ ,
tasmāccaiva varaḥ prāpto duṣprāpaścākṛtātmabhiḥ.

22. And a superhuman battle occurred with the wise Tryambaka (Śiva). From him, indeed, a boon was obtained, which is difficult for those whose inner self (ātman) is not perfected to attain.
