महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-86, verse-6

न तु तस्मिन्प्रदेयं स्यात्तथा कार्यगतिः प्रभो ।
विग्रहः समुपारब्धो न हि शाम्यत्यविग्रहात् ॥६॥
6. na tu tasminpradeyaṁ syāttathā kāryagatiḥ prabho ,
vigrahaḥ samupārabdho na hi śāmyatyavigrahāt.
6. na tu tasmin pradeyam syāt tathā kāryagatiḥ prabho
vigrahaḥ samupārabdhaḥ na hi śāmyati avigrahāt
6. But, O lord, no such offering should be made to him (Krishna) in this situation, for such is the nature of affairs. Indeed, a conflict, once begun, will certainly not subside through peaceful means.
