महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-190, verse-13

कृतदारः शिखण्डी तु काम्पिल्यं पुनरागमत् ।
न च सा वेद तां कन्यां कंचित्कालं स्त्रियं किल ॥१३॥
13. kṛtadāraḥ śikhaṇḍī tu kāmpilyaṁ punarāgamat ,
na ca sā veda tāṁ kanyāṁ kaṁcitkālaṁ striyaṁ kila.

13. Having married, Śikhaṇḍī returned to Kāmpilya. For some time, however, (Hiraṇyavarmā's daughter) did not know that girl (Śikhaṇḍinī) was actually a woman.
