महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-110, verse-12

तम एव तु पश्यामि शरीरं ते न लक्षये ।
मणीव जात्यौ पश्यामि चक्षुषी तेऽहमण्डज ॥१२॥
12. tama eva tu paśyāmi śarīraṁ te na lakṣaye ,
maṇīva jātyau paśyāmi cakṣuṣī te'hamaṇḍaja.
12. tamaḥ eva tu paśyāmi śarīram te na lakṣaye
maṇī iva jātyau paśyāmi cakṣuṣī te aham aṇḍaja
12. But I only see darkness; I do not perceive your body. O egg-born one, I (only) see your two excellent eyes, like (two) gems.
