महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-85, verse-3

पूर्वं प्राचीं दिशं राजन्राजर्षिगणसेविताम् ।
रम्यां ते कीर्तयिष्यामि युधिष्ठिर यथास्मृति ॥३॥
3. pūrvaṁ prācīṁ diśaṁ rājanrājarṣigaṇasevitām ,
ramyāṁ te kīrtayiṣyāmi yudhiṣṭhira yathāsmṛti.
3. pūrvam prācīm diśam rājan rājarṣigaṇasevitām
ramyām te kīrtayiṣyāmi yudhiṣṭhira yathāsmṛti
3. O King, Yudhiṣṭhira, I will now describe to you, as I remember it, the beautiful eastern direction (diś) which is frequented by hosts of royal sages (rājarṣi).
