महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-85, verse-19

पवित्रो मङ्गलीयश्च ख्यातो लोके सनातनः ।
केदारश्च मतङ्गस्य महानाश्रम उत्तमः ॥१९॥

kedāraśca mataṅgasya mahānāśrama uttamaḥ.

19. It is sacred, auspicious, and renowned in the world as eternal. It is also the excellent and great hermitage (āśrama) of Matanga, known as Kedara.
