महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-85, verse-14

यत्रायजत भूतात्मा पूर्वमेव पितामहः ।
प्रयागमिति विख्यातं तस्माद्भरतसत्तम ॥१४॥
14. yatrāyajata bhūtātmā pūrvameva pitāmahaḥ ,
prayāgamiti vikhyātaṁ tasmādbharatasattama.
14. yatra āyajata bhūtātmā pūrvam eva pitāmahaḥ
prayāgam iti vikhyātam tasmāt bharatasattama
14. O best among the Bharatas (bharatasattama), it is for this reason (tasmāt) that it is renowned (vikhyātam) as Prayāga, where, in ancient times, the grandfather (pitāmaha), the creator of beings (bhūtātmā), himself performed sacrifices.
