महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-68, verse-8

वैषम्यमपि संप्राप्ता गोपायन्ति कुलस्त्रियः ।
आत्मानमात्मना सत्यो जितस्वर्गा न संशयः ।
रहिता भर्तृभिश्चैव न क्रुध्यन्ति कदाचन ॥८॥
8. vaiṣamyamapi saṁprāptā gopāyanti kulastriyaḥ ,
ātmānamātmanā satyo jitasvargā na saṁśayaḥ ,
rahitā bhartṛbhiścaiva na krudhyanti kadācana.

kulastriyaḥ ātmānam ātmanā satyāḥ
jitasvargāḥ na saṃśayaḥ rahitāḥ
bhartṛbhiḥ ca eva na krudhyanti kadācana
8. Even when they encounter distress, women of noble families protect themselves by their own (ātman) inherent nature. They are truthful and undoubtedly have conquered heaven. Moreover, even when separated from their husbands, they never become angry.
