महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-16, verse-5

पुरी समन्ताद्विहिता सपताका सतोरणा ।
सचक्रा सहुडा चैव सयन्त्रखनका तथा ॥५॥
5. purī samantādvihitā sapatākā satoraṇā ,
sacakrā sahuḍā caiva sayantrakhanakā tathā.

sacakrā sahuḍā ca eva sayantrakhanakā tathā
5. That city (purī) was thoroughly equipped (vihitā) from all sides with flags (sapatākā) and archways (satoraṇā). And (ca eva) it was also furnished with wheels (sacakrā) and catapults (sahuḍā), and similarly (tathā) with digging machines (sayantrakhanakā).
