महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-121, verse-17

यथायोगं यथाप्रीति प्रययौ भ्रातृभिः सह ।
ददमानोऽसकृद्वित्तं ब्राह्मणेभ्यः सहस्रशः ॥१७॥
17. yathāyogaṁ yathāprīti prayayau bhrātṛbhiḥ saha ,
dadamāno'sakṛdvittaṁ brāhmaṇebhyaḥ sahasraśaḥ.

dadamānaḥ asakṛt vittam brāhmaṇebhyaḥ sahasraśaḥ
17. He proceeded with his brothers, acting appropriately and according to his inclination, continually bestowing thousands of riches upon the brahmins.
