महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-50, verse-26

जन्मवृद्धिमिवार्थानां यो वृद्धिमभिकाङ्क्षते ।
एधते ज्ञातिषु स वै सद्योवृद्धिर्हि विक्रमः ॥२६॥

26. He who desires prosperity for his possessions as if it were their intrinsic nature (janmavṛddhi) to grow, he indeed prospers among his relatives, for valor (vikrama) truly brings swift growth.
