महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-15, chapter-38, verse-16

स मया मूढया पुत्रो ज्ञायमानोऽप्युपेक्षितः ।
तन्मां दहति विप्रर्षे यथा सुविदितं तव ॥१६॥
16. sa mayā mūḍhayā putro jñāyamāno'pyupekṣitaḥ ,
tanmāṁ dahati viprarṣe yathā suviditaṁ tava.

16. Though I knew he was my son, I, being deluded, neglected him. That (neglect) now burns me, O sage among brahmins, as is well known to you.
