Vaiśampāyana said: Then, Śakuni's heroic son, a great warrior (mahāratha) among the Gandhāras, advanced to meet Guḍākeśa [Arjuna]. He was accompanied by a vast army, complete with elephants, horses, and chariots, and adorned with flags and banners.
