महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-124, verse-17

अञ्जनं रोचनां चैव स्नानं माल्यानुलेपनम् ।
प्रसाधनं च निष्क्रान्ते नाभिनन्दामि भर्तरि ॥१७॥
17. añjanaṁ rocanāṁ caiva snānaṁ mālyānulepanam ,
prasādhanaṁ ca niṣkrānte nābhinandāmi bhartari.

17. When my husband is away, I do not delight in applying collyrium or rocana pigment, nor in bathing, adorning myself with garlands and unguents, or any other embellishment.
