महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-199, verse-21

विषयेषु च संसर्गाच्छाश्वतस्य च दर्शनात् ।
मनसा चान्यदाकाङ्क्षन्परं न प्रतिपद्यते ॥२१॥
21. viṣayeṣu ca saṁsargācchāśvatasya ca darśanāt ,
manasā cānyadākāṅkṣanparaṁ na pratipadyate.

manasā ca anyat ākāṅkṣan param na pratipadyate
21. viṣayeṣu saṃsargāt ca śāśvatasya darśanāt ca
manasā anyat ākāṅkṣan ca param na pratipadyate
21. And by attachment to sense objects (viṣayeṣu saṃsargāt), and by not perceiving the eternal (śāśvatasya darśanāt), and by desiring something else with the mind (manasā anyat ākāṅkṣan)—one does not attain the Supreme.
