महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-147, verse-4

तत्तु शल्यमनिर्हृत्य कथं शक्ष्यामि जीवितुम् ।
सर्वमन्यून्विनीय त्वमभि मा वद शौनक ॥४॥
4. tattu śalyamanirhṛtya kathaṁ śakṣyāmi jīvitum ,
sarvamanyūnvinīya tvamabhi mā vada śaunaka.
4. tat tu śalyam anirhṛtya katham śakṣyāmi jīvitum
sarvamanyūn vinīya tvam abhi mā vada śaunaka
4. tu tat śalyam anirhṛtya katham jīvitum śakṣyāmi
śaunaka tvam sarvamanyūn vinīya mā abhi vada
4. But how can I live without extracting that thorn? O Śaunaka, after soothing all my grievances, speak to me.
