महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-106, verse-17

यज्ञदानप्रशंसास्मै ब्राह्मणेष्वनुवर्ण्यताम् ।
ते त्वत्प्रियं करिष्यन्ति तं चेष्यन्ति वृका इव ॥१७॥
17. yajñadānapraśaṁsāsmai brāhmaṇeṣvanuvarṇyatām ,
te tvatpriyaṁ kariṣyanti taṁ ceṣyanti vṛkā iva.
17. yajña dāna praśaṃsā asmai brāhmaṇeṣu anuvarṇyatām |
te tvat priyam kariṣyanti tam ca iṣyanti vṛkāḥ iva
17. asmai brāhmaṇeṣu yajña dāna praśaṃsā anuvarṇyatām
te tvat priyam kariṣyanti ca vṛkāḥ iva tam iṣyanti
17. Let the praise of religious Vedic rituals (yajña) and charitable giving (dāna) be proclaimed to him among the Brahmins. They will do what is pleasing to you and will assault him like wolves.
