महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-106, verse-10

ततः सुहृद्बलं लब्ध्वा मन्त्रयित्वा सुमन्त्रितम् ।
अन्तरैर्भेदयित्वारीन्बिल्वं बिल्वेन शातय ।
परैर्वा संविदं कृत्वा बलमप्यस्य घातय ॥१०॥
10. tataḥ suhṛdbalaṁ labdhvā mantrayitvā sumantritam ,
antarairbhedayitvārīnbilvaṁ bilvena śātaya ,
parairvā saṁvidaṁ kṛtvā balamapyasya ghātaya.

arīn bilvam bilvena śātaya paraiḥ vā

bilvam bilvena śātaya vā paraiḥ
saṃvidam kṛtvā asya balam api ghātaya
10. Then, having obtained the support of allies and having deliberated well, divide the enemies by exploiting their internal differences. 'Cut down a Bilva fruit with a Bilva fruit' (meaning, use a similar strength to overcome an opponent). Or, by forming an alliance with others, also destroy his army.
