महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-11, chapter-27, verse-1

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
ते समासाद्य गङ्गां तु शिवां पुण्यजनोचिताम् ।
ह्रदिनीं वप्रसंपन्नां महानूपां महावनाम् ॥१॥
1. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
te samāsādya gaṅgāṁ tu śivāṁ puṇyajanocitām ,
hradinīṁ vaprasaṁpannāṁ mahānūpāṁ mahāvanām.
