महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-11, chapter-10, verse-9

एतां तां क्षत्रियस्याहुः पुराणां परमां गतिम् ।
शस्त्रेण निधनं संख्ये तान्न शोचितुमर्हसि ॥९॥

9. etāṁ tāṁ kṣatriyasyāhuḥ purāṇāṁ paramāṁ gatim ,
śastreṇa nidhanaṁ saṁkhye tānna śocitumarhasi.

9. This is what they declare to be the supreme, ancient destiny of a warrior (kṣatriya): death by a weapon in battle. Therefore, you ought not to grieve for them.
